An Actuator is a component of a Device that is responsible for moving and controlling a mechanism or system.
Example
when the Plymouth IoT Conveyor Belt received a start Message from the Device Configuration at 6:30AM, the Firmware on the Device sent a signal to open the dispenser gate, which is an Actuator, that let the parts onto the conveyor belt.
